Kiplinger’s just released their list of 50 Smart Places to Live and I found the results rather interesting. My town, Atlanta finished 4th on the list with our “…rich history, good health care, a great cultural scene and genteel neighborhoods shaded by magnificent dogwood and magnolia trees.”
What did Kiplinger’s look for to rank these cities?
- A place where you could buy an attractive home for $300,000 to $400,000.
- Access to quality health care.
- A strong economy
- Neighborhoods with flavor
Here’s the top 10. You can see the rest at Kiplinger’s.
- Nashville, TN
- Minneapolis - St. Paul, MN
- Albuguerque, NM
- Atlanta, GA
- Austin, TX
- Kansas City
- Asheville, NC
- Ithaca, NY
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Iowa City
